Fleuri Clematis Fleuri Clematis Evipo042 is a compact and prolific large-flowered selection perfect for pots but also happy in the ground, Fleuri is one of the most strikingly beautiful Clematis vines you will find.

From late spring through most of the summer and into fall, large, 5 inch diameter exotic flowers that have slightly twisted and ruffled vivid violet-purple petals with reddish-pink midribs.

Violet-purple with subtle Pink bars flowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds and beneficial bollinators.

Fleuri Clematis Evipo042 is ideal for the smaller garden or for growing in a pot or container on a deck garden, patio or outdoor dining area. It does make a stunning plant when grown in a container, on an obelisk, with an under-planting of grey-foliaged annual plants.

Clematisses tolerate to any type of soil, but heavy clay soil should be amended to ensure good drainage.

The Fleuri Clematis Clematis is a compact beauty ideal for growing up to 5 feet high on shorter fences, trellises, mailbox pots, obelisks, poles and other structures. Can also be grown on the ground to meander through shrubs. Excellent for pots, planters and other containers for situating on patios, decks and around other outdoor living spaces where the amazing flowers can be viewed from close up. Ideally combines with roses, see the gallery below.

As a late-flowering species, Fleuri Clematis Evipo042 are easy to prune because you do not need to maintain any old wood. In February or March, cut each stem to a height of 1 or 2 feet. If not pruned, these vines will quickly become a mass of old diseased woody stems producing very few flowers.
